Celtic bog boots: . Limited sizes. Many Celtic settlements were either near bogs, streams or rivers and many needed long planked walkways to get to them for ritual ceremonies and for water. These bog boots kept the wearer from needing to constantly change out his boots. Enclosed boots worn in these wet areas wood not dry out well and different types of foot disease and mold were a constant problem. Bog boots let water back out through the net design, which helped in the rapid drying of the now wet boots and the protection of both your feet from decease and your boot fro mold and rot.
