Humes and Berg Pixie Mute, Stone lined precious metal.  This is the original color red/white, has not changed over the years, is made in America. Is factory new.  If you want to make your trombone talk like the teacher on Charlie Brown, use this mute with a plunger.  Listen to Al Grey.  He even wrote a book about how to do it.  The corks are thick on these when factory new.  You can file them down to customize your fit to your preference.  Some guys like to move the corks and re-glue them.  But, it all depends upon the size of your trombone. The serious plunger guys like to remove the insert and move the corks so that it is all the way up in the bell so the plunger will cover it completely when tight.  This is the right sound.
