This should be PHRF perfect for a C&C 34, with a foretriangle of (J) 14ft and (I) 44ft. A touch wide for a C&C 35-1, that would get you a little penalty, if racing.Labeled 1977, Half Ounce (1/2 oz) White with 2 Blue horizontal bands Tri-Radial Spinnker in good condition. Murphy & Nye. Remember those guys? Consult your vintage Yachting Mags .... ))
I whomping big sail--a friend who has never been on a boat was just late to see me flying it in the park saw the photos on my camera review screen and asked about how big it was. I pointed to a 30 year old Maple and said, it would fit just beautifully all around that with room to spare.
Luff tapes 44ft2in, Foot 27ft7in. This came from a Cal 33-1 that competed in the 1972 SORC, obviously this was a second generation sail (the boat moved to Chicago in 1990 after a major interior modification, and was probably hardly used since, certainly not after '03, when I purchased it).
Tapes and cloth in what I'd like to call very good condition, there is no evidence of salt residue or corrosion. The usual whisper bleeding of the blue from being stored moist. Yellowed corners with good strength. Some light soiling here and there, but once up and very acceptable bright white overall. With the sun on it, it can still impress.
Really large Red Turtle Launch bag with interior ties for the clews. Good shock cord and good color with a large "1/2" in yellow tape in top, with Murphy and Nye print on cap and face.
