    Here is the formula for the Cochineal Bugs Whole to dye 1 pound of fabric.
    For 1 pound (453 grams) of wool, silk or cotton
    1 ¾ oz (50 grams) ground cochineal for dark
    1 oz (28 grams) ground cochineal for medium
    ½ oz (14 grams) ground cochineal for light
