Maslet Horn Straight Mute

Description

Most of the long, conical style horn mutes now available are fine for orchestral playing but are too loud and direct for small ensemble work. This mute, designed in collaboration with Michael Thompson, fills that void. It's based on the now discontinued Paxman Horn mute, but with the addition of an adjustable tuner. A set of attachable pads which will enable it to be used in large bore horns are included. An extra long strap makes sure the mute won't bang against your bell rim. The adjustable slider makes it easy to hang the mute in the perfect position to grab it with your fingertips.
